Photo: Ints Kalnins/Reuters At parliamentary elections in Latvia the victory was won by Soglasiye party headed by the mayor of Riga Neil Ushakov. The party traditionally expresses the interests of the Russian-speaking population of Latvia and is still in the lead on elections to diet almost from 20% of votes. Commenting on results of elections, Neil Ushakov has told, that to the president of Latvia now to the candidate of the party leading on elections it is necessary to give to create the new cabinet. "The president of Latvia can't but give an opportunity to Vyacheslav Dombrovsky to create the new cabinet" — Ushakov in Facebook has said, having noted that the efficient ruling coalition without Soglasiye is impossible. Elections to diet of Latvia have taken place on October 6. 16 political parties fought for 100 places in legislature. Despite an unconditional victory, Soglasiye will remain in opposition, the editor-in-chief of the Latvian newspaper "Vesti Segodnya" Andrey Shvedov is sure: "Ethnic vote is characteristic of Latvia the last quarter of the century after the collapse of the USSR: each Russian votes for so-called Russian parties, Latvians — for so-called Latvian parties. The head of the European Council Donald Tusk has announced influence of Russia on results of the Latvian elections. "Russia is ready for everything to break unity of the EU" — he has said, having added that he is concerned by a victory of Soglasiye and that the speech, according to him, can go "about a turning point for the region". The Kremlin hand — an eternal subject on the political field of Latvia, but any proofs of communication of party of Neil Ushakov and Moscow for the present nobody could provide for speculation, the political analyst of radio Baltkom Vadim Rodionov says: "As for charges of a prorossiyskost and communication with the Kremlin, it is history not new. The Soglasiye party had a contract on cooperation with United Russia, and only this year it has been terminated by party.
