To participants of the program threats Victoria Marinova arrived long ago. Photo: Victoria is killed with Marinov/Facebook In Europe one more journalist. The body of the 30-year-old TV host of TVN channel Victoria Marinova was found in the park of the Bulgarian city of Ruse. According to data of the investigation, she has died of blow to the head and a suffocation. Before it she has been raped and robbed. Colleagues suspect that professional activity became a cause of death. Some days before death Marinova has started the Detector talk show in which I have decided to give the platform to journalists-rassledovatelyam. The journalist of the Bulgarian edition Bivol.bg Dimitar Stoyanov and the member of the Romanian association of journalists-rassledovateley of RISE Project Attila Biro participated in his first and only release. Recently they together with colleagues worked on investigation of wastes of funds which the European Union had allocated for infrastructure projects. According to journalists, at their order there are about 70 GB of the compromising data in which, in particular, mechanisms of theft of means are discussed. It is about hundreds of projects with the budget in hundreds of millions euros. At the same time they claim that they from 30% to 40% of these means have been appropriated or spent for bribes. People from the top management of Bulgaria can be involved in frauds. In particular, the name of the head of Bulgarian "subsidiary" of Lukoil Valentin Zlatev appears in materials. Nevertheless, as the Bulgarian mass media have reported, the police considers that murder isn't connected with professional activity of Marinova. However, later the Prosecutor General of the country Sotir Tsatsarov has said that all versions of murder of Marinova including connected with her professional activity will be checked. To journalists of the Bivol.bg edition specializing in investigations threats arrived long ago, his editor Atanas Chobanov:atanas Chobanov the editor of the Bivol.bg edition "Has reported Business FM threats arrived, we have transferred them where it is necessary. Threats are real, threats serious. We can't speak about details and we hope that the authorities will take the corresponding steps to protect our journalists. We don't exclude any version. We think that the authorities have to make full investigation of all hypotheses of murder. Meanwhile we don't see at the authorities of desire to investigate the version that Marinova has been killed because she is a journalist, because of her work. They just try to drive this version into the deadlock and to point to some madman, sexual murder or robbery. And try to remove very importunately the version — it very much isn't pleasant to us". The head of OSCE for freedom of the press Harlem Desir has said that he is shocked with the terrifying Victoria Marinova's murder and demands to make exhaustive and careful investigation. Other members of the organization of protection of journalists, such as "Reporters without borders" and Committee to Protect Journalists also have joined this requirement.
